Fidelity 1099 → Form 8949 CSV Beta

Fidelity's CSV downloads cover activity, orders and positions. They are good for tracking a portfolio, but they don't replace the gain/loss lines on the Form 1099 that Fidelity reports to the IRS. TaxForms reads the 1099 PDF in your browser and checks it against its own totals.

  • Read in your browser: the file is never uploaded
  • Each Form 8949 box is checked against the totals printed on the form
  • Free preview and box totals check, no sign-up
Beta Not tax advice. Check every figure against your forms.

FAQ

Is my Fidelity file uploaded?

No. It is opened inside your browser tab and the output files are built there. Nothing about your account or trades is sent to us.

Can I add Fidelity's positions CSV?

No; positions aren't sales. TaxForms reads the 1099 PDF.

What does the free version include?

Every row in the preview and the full box totals check, free. Downloads include the first 10 rows of each file. A TaxForms pass ($12 once, valid until October 15, 2027) or CleanStatement Pro unlocks every row.

Is this tax advice?

TaxForms is a file-conversion and arithmetic-check tool. It is not tax advice, doesn't calculate cost basis, and doesn't prepare or file your return. Check every figure against your original forms, and ask a tax professional if you're unsure how something should be reported.
